In accepting the Republican vice presidential nomination Cheney said that he is looking at serving alongside one who can work for the accomplishment of goals through reaching across the partisan aisle and working alongside political adversaries to achieve a mutual goals. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941 the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was moved from Casper, Wyoming with his family at the age of 13. His father, who was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and directed the soil conservation district of Casper.
